FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – FAQs
What happens if there's bad weather?
HTFS Policy is to always attempt to play tournaments. Past circumstances have typically resulted in delays or postponement to a later time during the window of the tournament dates, but in some cases, weather has not allowed for favorable conditions or safety of players and fans. As such, the last resort is to cancel the tournament. Teams are encouraged to stay in communication with Jason Meade for updates.
USSSA rules stipulate a canceled tournament will allow a team a credit toward a future Hit The Field Sports tournament. It can not be transferred to another USSSA tournament with another host. Refer to USSSA rules packet for specific breakdown of financial policy for canceled tournaments.
Does our team have to be registered with USSSA ?
Yes. All USSSA sanctioned tournaments require the teams also be sanctioned under USSSA.
Is there a hotel providing a participating team discount rate?
Yes. Holiday Inn Express in Auburn, Indiana (15 minutes from the complex) has partnered with HTFS for each tournament. When calling to book a reservation, be sure to mention you are registered to play at the HTFS tournament and you will receive a discount with corporate ID: 787012685. Rooms are based on availability so the earlier the booking the better.

Why is the registration price on USSSA different?
